QA TECHNICIAN in Shortsville, NY

Small established company in Shortsville, NY seeks a Quality Assurance Technician. Available immediately! Will train on 1st shift then move to 2nd shift. Hours are 3pm to 12midnight Monday through Friday. Pay $11.00/hour. 2nd shift to run 8-10 weeks during peak season, then move to 1st shift. Great potential temp to hire opportunity! Checks and tests raw and finished product to insure specified standards are met. Knows and understands specifications for product, containers, and plant operation. Ability to learn, record data and adjust testing equipment (metal detectors, pH meters and scales). Helps keep plant at a high acceptability level of sanitation through observations, reports and other methods of communications. Keeps necessary records. Alerts management to any and all deviations of product from specifications. Works in a safe manner, adhering to all safety rules and using necessary safety equipment. Keeps area clean and neat. Helps maintain smooth flow of product through plant. Does other miscellaneous duties or services that might be necessary or required. Experience: Prefer experience with food production.
