Oracle DBA Oracle DBA - Skills Required - Oracle Enterprise, Oracle DBA,Oracle DDL & DML, Application Clustering, NetApp,Solaris KSH, CSH Shell Scripting,SQL Design-Coding,PL/SQL for Oracle, 2 Terabytes Contract Oracle DBAPut your talents to good use as a Contractor where you may have the opportunity to be hired full time.What you will be doing: Perform DDL and DML validations before migrating the upgrade base code to production systems, To design/strategize changes and new additions to hardware and Oracle software, Tune oracle database(s), OS and network accordingly to maintain high performance of underlying application both for batch and online transaction processing, Perform standard maintenance to ensure maximum uptime and secure health of the Oracle database, Troubleshoot production problems related to SQL, new indexes, and PLSQL ( Perl knowledge preferable, but not required ), Must be available at any time of the day (unless on vacation) to fix system outages or catastrophic database problems that are fatal to production systems.Local candidates will be considered for interviews!An ideal candidate will have: Bachelors Degree 3 years of application developer/data modeler/development DBA 5+ years as an Oracle DBA Expert level knowledge of Oracle Enterprise edition 10g with Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard. Past experience working with Oracle databases with over 2 terabytes in used space and 1000+ end connections (OLTP). Exposed to Oracle 11g with Real Application Clustering (RAC) and Data Guard. Intermediate capabilities with Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control. Expert level capabilities in designing, coding and debugging SQL and PL/SQL code for Oracle packages, procedures, and views. Strong capabilities with all types of Oracle DDL and DML statements. Intermediate capabilities with Solaris KSH and/or CSH Shell scripting. Some experience with Network Appliance (NetApp) storage arrays is preferable, but not requiredFor your hard work and dedication, you will earn an hourly pay of $40-50hr.
