POSITION SUMMARY:This group handles the firms internet technology : User Data team develops and supports user data infrastructure, services, and provisioning tools used by external and internal applications. All Institutional Portal applications access our services at runtime to query information about users accessing the applications. The user data software used by external applications must be available 24x7 and must be highly reliable given the nature of the applications using the software. We also develop and support a user data portal which is a set of tools used to activate/setup users for external applications as well as view client setup and activity status across authentication, entitlements, user profile, and provisioning databases. One of the other responsibilities ThisUser Data team has is to develop the new CRM service that will be used by a wide variety of distributed applications to access user reference data such as organizational charts, external contact information, salesperson to client coverage relationships, etc. The User Data also works very closely with the Security Engineering team which is responsible for development and support of authentication and authorization solutions used widely We are looking for a Full Time Consultant that has experience building applications in Java, especially web based applications. RESPONSIBILITIES:- Work on user data tools and features as required for Institutional Portal and other client applications. - Support user data requests from developers, help desk, and ecommerce team.- Support entitlements and authentication requests from developers.SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:- 5+ years work experience- Extensive Java programming experience is a must minimum 3 years- Extensive experience working with sql and relational databases is required. Sybase is strongly preferred.- Knowledge and hands on experience of any of the following tools/technologies is strongly preferred: Apache Tomcat, Apache Web Server, Java Servlets and JSPs, Web Services, Workflow solutions.- Ability to work independently- Must be flexible and easily adjust to changing priorities.
