TechnoSphere, Inc. is an information technology staffing and consulting firm that specializes in delivering key business solutions. Our client is a major investment bank in Midtown, Manhattan. They are looking for QA Manager/Project Manager. The Candidate will be involved in setting up the Test Plans, test cases, client-server testing and data analysis. Any experience with UAT and Buy side Asset Management business process and applications experience is a MAJOR PLUS FOR THE CLIENTWork to be Performed: The client is planning a significant enhancement to its Business Continuity Plan [BCP] in 2005/2006 and is committed to meeting the corporate requirements of incorporating guidance of applicable regulatory agencies [OCC, SEC, DOL] and using a consistent methodology to document and manage its BCP. This candidate will be responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of the high level and detail test strategies/plans to enable successful testing and completion of the Data Center Move Project. The Test Resource will work with the Business Owners to evaluate existing test strategies and plans and build/revise the test strategies/plans to enable all applications to be tested in the new data center environments being created. The Data Center Move Project will move the IT operation of all applications to the new System Management Center (SMC) facilities. The project will also enable Citrix software and server farms to centralize the desktop or client side code support and remove that client code from the desktops.
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS Required Skills/Experience: 3-5 years experience managing complex IT/Financial Services projects. 3-5 years experience developing, documenting and leading the successful execution of application test strategies and plans in a methodology based environment. Knowledge/experience with client/server and Web based application architectures. 5 plus years experience implementing or managing projects of a similar scope in financial services, brokerage, asset management environment or significant employment experience in a corporate finance functions of large corporation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills: interviewing, coordinating and documenting. Proven experience applying formal application development methodologies and completing deliverables on time within budget. Organized, self-starter. Proven ability to work effectively with operational and investment professionals and senior executives. Preferred Skills: B.A. required. M.B.A. or related advanced degree preferred. Advanced certification in Business Continuity preferred. Other Requirements: Candidates should bring samples of previous work to the interview. Final candidates will be expected to complete a quick analysis of the BCP environment and document a proposed strategy for enhancement.
