Our premier client located in New York city, requires the services of a Senior Oracle DBA on a large-scale project based on J2EE Architecture.The Oracle DBA will support multiple databases in test and production environments. The Oracle DBA will be responsible for all standard database administrative tasks such as:- Proactive performance tuning and monitoring- Trouble-shooting- Back-up and recovery- Installations and configurations on an as needed basis, applying patches and upgrades.- Other responsibilities include creating and modifying Unix scripts to automate DBA tasks and perform database deployment and validation.
Requirements:
Must have 6+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA with experience on Oracle 9i / 10g and with Production databases.Candidate must be willing to work on shifts (8 hrs. early-AM to mid-PM or mid-PM to late evening).Willing to be on-call when required.Must have experience with:- Solaris and Window operating systems- RMAN for backup and recovery- PL/SQL, Performance Tuning and Monitoring Unix shell scripting.Experience that is desirable includes:- Hands on experience with Veritas High Availability and NetBackup software.- Experience with one or more LDAP directories.- Experience with data modeling toolsPlease call Girish at (651) 436-3230 if you need any additional information.
