A large teaching facility in New York City is seeking an experienced interface analyst. Details are listed below.
1. Design, implement and maintain Hospital's interface engine and all related inter-system data transmissions.
2. Activities include project planning, projecting resource requirements, application programming, documentation, integration analysis testing and troubleshooting interfaced systems.
3. Reviews interfaced system requirements with users and translate requirements to specific functions.
4. Ensure that interfaced applications are being used properly and that they function in accordance with hospital and vendor specification, and are within regulatory compliance.
5. Collaborate resolution of system difficulties and issues with affected users in order to maintain a strong positive working relationship.
6. Perform diagnosis of probable cause of system failure.
7. Coordinate repair and restoration of service to minimize the disruption of patient care and other hospital operations.
8. Provide technical expertise to resolve complex system problems.
9. Assist users with extracting usable relevant data from information systems resources as requested. Implement and test interface system updates and corrections.
10. Respond to users concerns in a timely and effective manner and provide users with problem updates and status reports; resolve and document issues related to the problem.
11. Assist in developing polices and procedures as well as training material for new and existing application updates.
12. Primary liaison in providing advice and assistance to user in the maintenance and support of interfaced systems resources.
Additional requirements:
-- Familiar with business applications on personal computer, network design, troubleshooting and topography. Basic understanding of relational databases design.
-- Knowledgeable in Interface Engine Technology, specifically; OpenLink, ELink Engines.
-- Experience with Eclipsys 4.0 XA and Invision GVR3 and RTIF desireable
