The main objective being the successful completion of an estimated nine (9) to twelve (12) month project through all phases of the management cycle that will result in the successful selection and implementation of a replacement system for an existing key business legacy system.This individual will work closely with the Executive co-sponsors of this project and a newly formed project team of in-house business & technical staff to assure that all key project deliverables are identified, planned and executed in a timely and successful manner. It is anticipated that regular bi-weekly on-site project meetings will be needed and certain other occasional on-site activities will be required. There is the possibility that the successful management and execution of this project could lead to other projects for this company and/or consideration for fulltime employment.
Requirements:
The skills, qualifications and attributes desired for the person to be selected include:Education & Experience:Undergraduate degree in business, computer science, or related field.At least five years of proven successful experience as a Project Manager in complex business environments, with healthcare administrative experience helpful but no required.Project Management Certification.Knowledge & Skills:Ability to create solutions to specific problems. Ability to analyze major objectives and break down into meaningful action steps and communicate these steps effectively to others.Demonstrated facilitation skills and management leadership ability, with proven skills in working collaboratively with business and technical personnel across an organization to get things done. Proven project management skills with the ability to create and implement plans successfully.Knowledge of healthcare managed care delivery systems is helpful, but not required.Strong analytical skills, excellent organizational skills.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Practical understanding of and experience with PC-based and mainframe operational and financial analysis and reporting programs and tools.Demonstrated proficiency with various software, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and project management programs.
