The Organization
Our client is urgently looking for someone to join their exciting team as a Project Quality Manager in Hornell, NY. Our client is an international company that employs over 60,000 people.
The Challenge
The Project Quality Manager will play an integral role in maintaining our client's success by ensuring customer satisfaction, consistency and conformity of products and services, and by contributing to the efficiency of all workflow. You will have the opportunity to lead a team of two or more Project Quality Engineers and/or two projects simultaneously. The Project Quality Manager will be interacting with many people throughout the company, from coordinating project quality activities to permanently assuming a positive relationship with customers and other project team members, as well as making certain project-specific quality requirements (which you will identify and/or define), are taken into consideration by all stakeholders including partners and participating units.
In addition to being able to work with a wide variety of people, you will also assume a leadership role by developing methodology for verification and control of key characteristics, writing the project Quality Assurance Plan, and developing / implementing improvements to Project Quality as necessary to assure QCD objectives until the end of the warranty period. Not just a leadership role, the Project Quality Manager will also participate in project reviews when required, get involved with the decisions in program and design reviews, and work with the Project Manager to push all Quality actions in relation with his project and especially Gate review, Internal Design and Commodity Reviews and related tools.
Compensation
Dependent upon experience. Starting around $70,000/year.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
6+ years relevant experience
Six Sigma or TQM certification a plus
