Experience: • Familiarity with the following technologies is essential: EJB, Servlets, Message Oriented Middleware (including JMS), JDBC/SQL, JTA, XML (Schema, XPath, XQuery, XSL), Web Services
• Familiarity with the following technologies would be advantageous: Spring, AOP, C++, Ruby, UML or other OO Analysis and Design technique, JBoss, Linux
• A thorough understanding of distributed systems and clustering mechanisms is a plus
• Familiarity with the following tools is essential: versioning systems (preferably CVS), Ant
• Familiarity with the following tools would be advantageous: profiling tools
• Familiarity with financial market data systems is a plus
• Understanding of the following software engineering practices: patterns, test driven development
• Ability at HBO/Academic level; actual qualification at this level in a computing-related discipline preferred; Sun Certified Business Component Developer is a plus.
