Genesis10 currently has an opening for our client, a leading provider of innovative products and solutions to the financial industry. This is a full time permanent opportunity based in New York City.
We are seeking a Manager familiar with Real-time systems to join our team. This role will have overall responsibility for managing the technical relationship with existing Real-time vendors as well as involvement in the design, development and implementation of a next generation solution. The right candidate will be a creative, self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
Will be responsible for:
- Managing the technical relationship with existing Real-time vendors to meet customer SLAs.
- Working with business operations to review business requirements for new Real-time indices and manage the resulting development and UAT process.
- Managing and participating in the design, development, quality assurance and implementation of a next generation Real-time solution.
- Providing leadership to the development and QA staff for the above.
Experience: Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or engineering.
- Eight to ten years experience as a project and technical manager responsible for developing and supporting Real-time projects in the financial industry.
- Familiarity with off-the-shelf Real-time components and system development strategies.
- Understanding of the criticalness of meeting customer Real-time SLAs.
- Prior experience in developing applications related to Index and/or portfolio management is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Strong conceptual and analytic skills.
- Ability to analyze high level business needs and come up with innovative & cost effective solutions.
