My client, a Financial Organization in lower Manhattan, is in need of a Network Engineer with at least 7 years of Network Design and Configuration experience. The company's environment consists of several servers dealing with Cisco Routers and Switches behind PIX as well as Checkpoint Firewalls. The Network Engineer will be a direct contributor with the Network Administration and Management teams. The ideal candidate should be able to remediate issues independently and assist in recommendations for new products and projects. This is a LAN WAN Engineering position with experience troubleshooting an MS Server environment as well. Must be able to communicate clearly to other members of the team and take on senior level issues. The ideal candidate should posses a high level of analytical, communicational, and troubleshooting skills. The following skills are required for this position:

Experience: <br>
<br>
- Provide maintenance, configuration, design, and implementation of the current network infrastructure. <BR>
- Ability to troubleshooting devices such as Cisco 6500 series switches, 3750 series switches, 2500 series terminal servers.BR>
- Experience installing and configuring PIX Firewalls <br>
- Juniper Firewall experience a stong plus <br>
- Experience with VoIP implementation and configuration <br>
- Excellent understanding and strong experience with <b> LAN Technologies</b> <br>
- Ability to lead future and existing projects. <br>
- VPN support, setups and configurations <br>
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze LAN/WAN problems, including DHCP, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN issues, etc. <br>
- Experience with Network design using Visio for presentational purposes. <br>
- Create documentation of specific fixes and work done on infrastructure. Create reports on resolution of problems and requests. <BR>
- Certifications that are highly desired are CCNA; CCNE; CCNP; CCDA; MCSE; MCSA
