Customer Knowledge Analyst in New York, NY

This role is responsible for supporting end-to-end business analysis and modeling functions of Customer Knowledge and Development in an effort to lengthen and deepen customer relationships through customer development, cross-sell, and retention programs.

Major Responsibilities:

Customer and Distribution Analytics: Gather necessary data through interpretation of business and project objectives. Provide meaningful and actionable data analysis through use of database queries and data mining tools, in a timely and accurate manner. Communicate findings to cross-functional teams.

Statistical Modeling: Development, documentation, implementation, and tracking of actionable models in alignment with initiatives, including aggregating data and creating infrastructure to support efficient on-going analysis. Communicate modeling and analysis insights.

Campaign Support: Provide actionable analysis of all campaigns and show campaign improvement and/or opportunity for improvement. Ensure strategy is measurable and meaningful. Through trend/delta analysis, validate campaign tracking measurement, and forecast results when needed. Through use of statistics, ensure valid campaign test design for readable results.

Field Support: To provide analytics to General Agencies as per their market, customer, and agent analysis needs, fulfill ad hoc requests, and deliver reports accurately and according to schedule.

General Marketing Support: To provide customer and ad-hoc analysis as needed to meet Market Research and Advertising project objectives, and to support cross-functional teams with lists and database queries as needed.

Education/Experience:

** Bachelor degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or related discipline required. Advanced degree preferred
** 6+ years experience in end-to-end customer analytic, statistical modeling and execution utilizing SAS
** 4+ years of experience in database marketing or direct marketing
** Experienced in financial services industry including minimum of 1 year in life insurance marketing

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

** Proven experience with end-to-end customer data analysis.
** Proven experience with building statistical models and invoking segmentation schemas.
** Strong experience with database marketing; direct marketing a plus.
** Experience in customer segmentation analysis.
** Strong knowledge of best practices in target marketing and integrating statistical modeling in program implementation
** Knowledge of life insurance, disability insurance, long-term care insurance, annuity, mutual funds, group benefits, trusts and other financial services products, strongly preferred.
** Strong analytical and organizational skills, and attention to detail.
** Experience in using SAS, MS Access and other MS Office Suites**Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
** Excellent communication skills**verbal and written**including the ability to effectively present technical/statistical findings to a marketing/non-technical audience.
** Ability to work with general direction and little supervision and follow through on a timely delivery of multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines
** Knowledge in business intelligent tools such as Business Objects, Cognos, and Claritas ConsumerPoint is a plus.
