Robert Half Technology is currently recruiting for a SQL DBA for a contract position at a prominent Non-Profit in New York City</font>

<font color= #007777> <b>JOB DESCRIPTION</b></font>

<br><br>&#129;&#222; The senior programmer/analyst will have the responsibility of supporting the installation, administration, development and testing of applications in a Windows and Web environment.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; In addition, this position will research, recommend, and implement new technology and development architectures, as appropriate. This position will be required to work closely with consultants, end users, and other IT staff, providing hands-on support for current and future applications, as well as work independently on projects when necessary.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; This position reports to the Manager, Application Development.

<font color= #007777> <b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b></font>



<br><br>&#129;&#222; Develop applications and queries under Windows using Microsoft SQL server, .Net technologies, Microsoft Access, including Adobe Acrobat/LiveCycle integration.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; Continually investigate new emerging technologies and recommend how to utilize them in our work.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; Design development platform and architecture, utilizing current technology standards.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; Analyze user specifications and requirements. Develop and maintain the design of computer systems including user interface, reports and programs; participate in database design; write and test new computer applications.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; Develop business process management solutions using Metastorm e-work, and standard scripting tools.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; Develop reports using Crystal Reports and Excel; create VB/VBA/C# applications to integrate desktop applications with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Exchange data stores.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; Work independently on projects as assigned.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; Support the installation, implementation, integration and use of pre-packaged software solutions, including Q Series, InterAction, Plumtree and Great Plains.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; Update system documentation and user guides as required.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; Work closely with the IT team to promote informed and creative use of information systems by the Foundation staff; mentor other IT staff in new technologies.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; Other duties as assigned.

Experience: <p>

<font color= #007777> <b>REQUIREMENTS</b></font>



<br><br>&#129;&#222; Four year undergraduate degree with a concentration in information technology or computer science preferred.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; A minimum of five years professional experience in the information technology field, with strong database background and application development experience.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; Knowledge of Windows XP; Windows 2003 Server; Microsoft SQL Server and Office 2003

<br><br>&#129;&#222; Experience with .NET development technologies (ASP.Net, C#.Net, VB.Net); PL/SQL; Java; HTML.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; Experience with Microsoft SQL Server in a client/server environment.

<br><br>&#129;&#222; Familiarity with Crystal Reports and VB/VBA a plus.
