We are seeking a Web Technical Team Lead to support a financial services client as a key contributor to the Retail e-Commerce team (RECOM). This individual will provide technical and design leadership. The responsibilities of the Technical Specialist include (but are not limited to) the following:

. Lead a team of developers in the design, development and maintenance of the front end user interface of several client facing web sites. This includes project and resource management; including development of schedules and timelines for project initiatives.
. Work with business groups to define proper User Interface standards and best practices, project requirements, status and day-to-day activities.
. Understand and translate strategic business objectives in to an appropriate e-commerce technology strategy.
. Act as a thought-leader for e-commerce technology solutions - identify new architectures, technologies or methods to improve the applications and the development process.
. Identify opportunities for improving performance and stability of existing applications.
. Participate in development activities ranging from strategic initiatives to small enhancements.
. Exhibit in-depth technical knowledge specifically related to competitiveness and success of assigned business unit
. Provide creative, innovative and efficient design solutions to business problems.
. Design and code e-commerce applications utilizing best practices with an emphasis on client facing, front end development.
. Work closely with business and User Interface design team to define the best user experience for external clients and internal users.
. Work closely with Shared Services Architects to develop and implement a strategic architecture for the project
. Work closely with Shared Services Infrastructure to tune applications and infrastructure for optimum performance and stability
. Act as the "go-to" person for resolving technical issues encountered by the various application development teams
. Identify opportunities for improving performance, stability or functionality of the existing RECOM applications

Experience: . Must be a hands-on technician with strong system design skills
. Excellent knowledge of HTML/XHTML, DHTML, CSS, CSS2, JavaScript, JavaScript Object Oriented Programming, AJAX, table-less design, DOM manipulation, and Browser Compatible Issues.
. Experience with Rich Internet Technologies especially FLEX, highly preferred
. Able to work with new technologies as well as existing legacy system
. Excellent debugging skills of client-side code
. Exposure to other technologies (C++, Perl/CGI, Databases, Java, etc) a plus
. Ability to lead development personnel
. Strong project management skills
. Strong written and oral communication skills, extreme attention to detail, ability to communicate idea, energize and influence colleagues and business partners.
. Able to multi-task various projects at once in a fast-paced environment; self-starter able to take project from start to completion.


Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder due to Contract-to-hire status of the opportunity.
