Developer -ECT
** Maintains, augments and improves existing corporate web sites and pages and may develop small web applications. Checks for consistency across the sites and creates/installs/uses tools for updating Web content. May act as the liaison among designers, systems administrators, and Internet/Intranet managers. Assists EA team with establishing and documenting efficient Web architecture, enforces development standards and addresses/resolving system issues
** Maintains system security, monitors usage statistics and logs, modifies configuration settings and backs up the system.
** May act as a lead for key components of a project. Coordinates work of onshore and offshore developers, DBAs, Enterprise Architecture, Windows, Websphere and Unix teams.
** Converts business requirements into technical specifications.
** Provides guidance and technical coaching to more junior developers

Principal Accountabilities
** Contributes to or may produce complete designs of business solutions, including assessing project resource requirements
** As needed, develops/modifies programs and/or customizes applications to meet Our business needs.
** Analyzes and documents customer business requirements to ensure a thorough understanding of business needs
** Participates in buy/build analysis and feasibility reviews as well as in the development of RFIs, RFPs, and vendor reviews
** Participates in systems integration efforts to ensure new or modified systems operate effectively in the environment
** May lead installation of new or modified systems, providing post-implementation support
Knowledge:
Business Knowledge
** Follows and understands the changing business needs for supported area and recommends strategies for the future
** Maintains up-to-date knowledge about the company and industry trends and strategy, and advises customers or business analysts on approaches to optimize business success
** Technical Expertise
** Experience with WSAD/Rational Developer 6, HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, XSL, Websphere Portal, Apache Cocoon, Unix, Java and J2EE technologies a must.
** Understanding of UDB, JSPs/ASPs and Content Mgmt Systems (particularly Stellent) preferred
** Experience with PLSQL, Oracle 10g database and/or DB2 a plus
** Demonstrates significant competence and efficiency in multiple (including new) technology environments
** Understands, incorporates, and influences (when applicable) the current and future application and technology architectures
** Demonstrates advanced expertise and is able to find efficiencies based on experience (e.g., may have developed own code library). Answers technical questions and provides technical guidance to less experienced developers
Education and Experience:
Education: BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent
Experience: Typically candidates in this role will possess 6+ years of relevant experience
