Business-Savvy Programmer/Analyst (
Bachelor's Degree/Equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline. Five (5) years experience in systems development and at least two (2) years experience in systems analysis desired. The candidate must have strong SQL and PL/SQL skills and basic Oracle DBA knowledge. A basic understanding of UNIX is also required.
Experience: Knowledge of B2B technology, application testing tools, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Crystal Reports, Progress, Java, XML, and Web development methodologies is a plus. Knowledge of MS Office Suite, systems design, applications analysis, development techniques, documentation and testing techniques is required. Candidates must possess good written & oral communication skills & be able to work well in a team environment. Candidates must also have excellent problem solving, multitasking, customer service, organizational & project management skills. The candidate must have good business background (preferably in the Transportation Logistics field) and knowledge of financial processes. This candidate will be expected to learn a freight-forwarding application and become an expert in testing the application and communicating with the business community. Position may require some off-hours and travel.
