BASIC FUNCTION:As part of M&T’s Technology division the Project Analyst IV would participate in the gathering and analysis of information for defining functional requirements, functional designs, development and implementation of the final project.RESPONSIBILITIES:The incumbent works under the supervision of the Team Leader and is competent to work on all phases of systems analysis and application support, independently. The Project Analyst IV possesses a detailed functional understanding of the supported applications to assist in the successful processing of the system on a day to day basis and to maintain system integrity in thoroughly testing systems modifications. The Project Analyst IV understands the strategic plans of the Document Imaging Business Services clients and makes recommendations to assist them in meeting their goals and creating efficiencies.Assists the Document Imaging Business Services clients in addressing problems/issues of any scope. Analyzes information, determines feasible solutions and makes recommendations.Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations to fulfill business requirements. Converts business requirements into functional specifications and functional designs on any scope assignments. Plays a key role as an individual contributor on projects.Develops or oversees the development of project assessments and plans to include activities to be performed, estimated timeframes and effort. Develops or oversees the development of test plans and scripts; performs client testing for routine to complex processes to ensure proper system functioning. Provides consultation services to clients, technicians, and bank departments on basic to intricate functions of supported mainframe or distributed applications (i.e. Kofax/FileNet). This may also include the review of system capabilities, operational procedures, forms, marketing materials, or cost analysis.            Participates in planning and implementing new polices and procedures that will improve the performance and effectiveness of the department.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of two to four years college with at least three to six years experience in a technology/systems analysis or operational support environment. Requires strong analytical skills and communication skills.Demonstrates a high aptitude for complex problem analysis and resolution. Strong understanding of development processes and technical conceptsVery good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to the target audience.Knowledge of personal computers and the ability to proficiently use project management, word processing and spreadsheet applications.IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree preferred.Very familiar with what and how the supported applications functions are used by the clientVery good understanding of the Bank’s application framework.Demonstrates a strong understanding of the business area’s functions and operational environment.Familiar with the Bank’s business plan and strategic objectivesPossesses a very good understanding of the business unit’s role and how they fit into the organization.Detail oriented, self motivated; takes initiative to learn new skills and enhance overall knowledge.Must possess time management skills and organization skills.Able to work effectively with client personnel in various organizational positions.Quickly grasps new concepts.Asserts ideas, encourages teamwork and acts as a role model when leading or directing others.Able to handle multiple tasks in support of various assignments.Very good project management skills.Able to lead or actively participate in vendor demonstrations, project presentations, design sessions, etc.
