Service/Install Technician:
Provide technical product support via telephone, hands-on service at installation sites and system testing. Will also be installing Perceptics systems at customer locations along the border.
Have experience in troubleshooting and repair of complex electronic equipment, including PCs, video cameras, optics, illumination systems, integrated circuits, printed circuit boards and experience in reading and working from schematics. Maintain and update technical documentation and procedures in support of the customer service organization.
Provide customer training in equipment operation, maintenance and repair. Perform hands-on service in the installation, alignment, test and repair of equipment at customer sites. Know and follow all policies and procedures to support department and corporate goals. Maintain equipment and customer documentation for continued improvement and customer satisfaction.
Must be willing to travel and work with minimum supervision.
Qualifications:
2 year Associates Degree in Electronics or minimum of 5 years experience providing telephone and on-site customer service support in the installation, testing, repair and maintenance of electronic equipment; experience with Windows NT, CPU setup, oscilloscopes, schematics, and general test equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be willing and able to travel (at least 50%) and work with minimum supervision.
