Robert Half Technology is recruiting for a DB2/UDB DBA for a 3-5 month project here in Midtown Manhattan. This project will be working on a large migration of about approximately 300 DBs, some old and some new, so previous experience with various version is ideals.
Various platforms used will include:
• SPARC-Solaris
• Linux
• SPARC-Solaris Partition
• Linux Partition
Responsibilities:
• Research DB2/UDB-based applications
• Determine the hostname, database name, database version, etc
• Restore/load the DB2/UDB dump files in preparation for migration to MS SQL
• Trouble-shoot corrupted data issues
