Description: The selected candidate will be responsible for Managing the process of moving the current functionality in a MS Access Data Mart to the most optimal location in the existing technology Suite. After the functionality is moved, system closure activities will have to be conducted. This activity will involve Understanding and documenting the current (MS Access) system. Evaluation of the currently existing technologies (databases, ETL tools). Identifying synergies. Providing requirements to the development team responsible. Providing testing support to make sure that the functionality is accurately implemented in the target location. While this transition activity is in progress, the current MS-Access database will have to be supported. This database acts as a Data Mart before forwarding on the data to Essbase Cubes, oracle warehouse. Operations performed here will include data cleansing, data mapping, data analysis, metadata maintenance, coordination with data providers from across the globe Some experience with building and maintaining Essbase cubes is desirable.
