Business Analyst (401K) in New York, NY

A large teacher's insurance company in NYC seeks business analysts to work a 6 month + contract. The successful candidate will maintain the following skillset: Business Analyst: They will possess functional knowledge and experience in Investments, Annuities, Insurance, Diversification / Asset Allocation, Plan Ruler / Plan setup and 401K or 401B business acumen. They will be experienced at assessing current operational environments within these functional disciplines, at conducting interviews and documenting processes and procedures, and in developing future state requirements and specifications work products. Key Activities and Deliverables: . Review Current State' (as-is') assessment as bench mark of existing requirements / functionality within respective identified work streams . To-be' (future state) assessment of identified work streams using artifacts, interviews and best practices . Final Current State', To-be' and gap analysis document . Assess effort and reward to prioritize gap analysis . Run Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to determine business requirements . Create Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional Specifications (FS) and Use Cases . Recommendations and roadmap document with phases for integrated short and long-term objectives . Make recommendations for tool consolidation . Assess effort, reward and priorities of gaps (resulting from gap analysis) . Develop architectural blueprint for common data model . Evaluate in-house technical support for Advice .
