Description Our client, a prestigious hedge fund, is seeking a Junior-Mid level .NET/SQL Server/SharePoint Developer .Type of position: Right to HireLocation: New York, NY Description/Skills: Junior-Mid (5-6 years) level strong developer in MS technologies, SharePoint 2007, .NET Framework, C#, LINQ, WPF, WCF and SQL Server database This candidate will be involved with systems development and maintenance for all business areas, eg, Front, Middle and Back offices. Candidate must be comfortable with working in multitasking environment with demanding users who expect things to be delivered `yesterday` Interacting with business users to gather/understand requirements; designing, developing, testing and maintaining robust, efficient mid-size but complex applications will be the nature of the job. Good verbal/written communication skills required Understanding of basic financial concepts and terminology is required Working knowledge in financial domain will be helpful Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding and working experience in MS .NET 2.0, 3.0/3.5 technologies (at least 3-4 years of .NET experience) required Strong SharePoint 2007 development experience is required (at least 3-4 years) Must have strong background in ASP.NET, Ajax, various aspects of MOSS 2007 development including generic webparts etc. Expertise of.NET 3.0/3.5 technologies (LINQ, WCF, Silverlight) is desirable Strong SQL Server 2005/2008 design/development expertise is required Expertise in writing/optimizing complex queries, procedures, functions etc. will be required. Some experience with VS Team System is desirable Working knowledge of Ajax is a plus Compensation: Commensurate with expertise and experience.
