Description Our client, a major global financial services provider engaged in retail and commercial banking, is seeking a Senior Java Developer. Location: New York, NY Type of Position: Fulltime Person Requirements The candidate should possess: Strong application development and design experience using Java/J2EE Strong database development and design skills. Candidate should be fluent in TSQL and PLSQL Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience with full software life-cycle, including decommission of Legacy applications Experienced generalist with exposure to a wide variety of software products in multiple areas Self-starter, highly motivated individual, team player who can take a problem from initial stages through tactical and strategic solutions with minimal guidance Required Skills: . Strong experience developing Java/J2EE applications using best practices . Experience with Fixed Income products . Experience building applications with large volumes of data or large throughput . Experience with Perl or other Scripting languages . Experience with reporting software a plus . Experience with Real Time trade feeds . Extensive experience with Weblogic and web development . Bond Math and risk analytics is preferred
