RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of technical products and systems related to the Microsoft Server Environment and VMware virtual server deployments. Resolves highly-complex technical issues, conducts advanced research, and identifies product/service innovations. Provides the highest level of technical support/expertise to technicians levels I through III in the Microsoft Server areas. Will be a senior team technical resource interacting with all other Information Systems personnel to identify and correct issues. This individual must be able to prioritize the work to meet deadlines and the needs of the user community. Will be responsible for managing critical technical projects.Participates with systems analysts, operations staff and IT staff in overall systems development direction from technical analysis to user acceptance testing. Prepares and reviews test data and executes detailed test plans.Microsoft Server Build Design and Automation in Physical and Virtual Environments Microsoft Administration and Planning in Physical and Virtual Environments Active Directory GPO Integration into Server Builds Citrix XPe/4.5 Design, Administration and Management Integration with Network Security Requirements for Windows Systems Working with Windows Servers 2000, 2003, 2008, etc. Perform system administration, installation, problem isolation, and resolution on Windows systems. Participate in planning, designing, documenting, and implementing new technologies. Third party product integration into the Microsoft Server PlatformBASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in architecting an enterprise Microsoft Server implementation with greater than 2000 servers. Expert level skills managing enterprise Microsoft Server environment with multiple domainsOver 7 years of experience in Microsoft Server environmentsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred or have 5+ years experience in MS Server environment 5+ years experience with VM ware5+ years experience Active Directory GPO 5+ years experience Citrix XPe/4.5Integration with Network Security Requirements for Windows SystemsCurrent Systems Administration experience on Windows systemsCurrent experience with Network Security for Windows SystemsMust be able to direct, monitor and mentor junior resources, plus coordinate development tasks on small to large scope projectsProvides highly analytical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies to assist business units in meeting strategic objectivesPrepares thorough, clear technical specifications and functional specifications, and updates systems documentation. Prepares and reviews assessments to include required tasks, estimated time frames and effort for any scope project. Maintains efficient operation and effectiveness of supported applicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills are a requirement.IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS: A complete understanding of the system development life cycle, ability to introduce application development alternatives and an understanding of the client area’s functions. Experience with state of the art application development support software and hardware platforms and proficiency in multiple programming languagesDemonstrates a high aptitude for complex problem analysis and resolution.
