Lead / Sr. Network Engineer (Architect) – New York
Our client, a leading financial trading firm based in downtown New York, is seeking lead network engineer to join their Network Management team. This candidate will have a successful track record of leading enterprise-wide network projects.
Responsibilities:
Technical architect, design, implement and manage of networks and associated systems
Design, implement and deploy Ethernet network with multicast and advanced QOS support
Design and Deployment of WAN, LAN, IP and IPSEC networks
Liaise with third parties to maintain communication lines and data center infrastructure
Interact with management, internal departments and service providers on network growth, quality and maintenance issues.
Experience: Education
·
Bachelors degree required, preferably in technical field
·
5-7+ years experience working with complex, multi-vendor networks
·
Certifications:
CCNP, CCDP, or higher a strong preference.
Project Lead / Management
Must have track record of leading enterprise-wide network design or implementation projects
Meticulous organizational and documentation skills.
Strong attention to detail
Strong initiative and communication skills
Strong multi-tasking and adaptability skills.
Technical Skills

Expert IP Networking skills required
·
Strong knowledge routing protocols including BGP, OSPF and PIM
·
Expert knowledge of multicast configuration / protocols a MUST.
·
Experience with VPNs including IPSEC, GRE and Cisco ASA
·
Working knowledge of various version of Unix and/or Linux
·
Working knowledge of monitoring tools such as MRTG, Cricket, SNMP
·
Scripting experience to automate network tasks is desirable
