A well known financial services company based out of New York City is looking for Migration Specialist.

PURPOSE To deliver job role focused file conversion and planning on desktop products in order to enable clients to derive maximum benefit from their services.

SCOPE AND IMPACT The role works nationally within a region, in a team of peers in close cooperation with the account teams and migration project managers. The major part of working time will be spent at client sites and the role requires some travel locally and nationally (approximately 20%). The role requires a pro-active approach with very good understanding of clients' needs that have sound and broad knowledge financial markets theory, practice and instruments. Specific emphasis will be placed on institutional sell-side clients with focuses in Sales and Trading functions for FX, commodities and energy, fixed income and equities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES Is responsible to successfully migrate sheets in the allocated migration accounts
Gather complete information about users including job roles & preferred asset classes and preparing this information for entry into Siebel
Co-operate closely with training management, project managers and sales account teams
Track all activities with clients in a timely and accurate manner
Initiate and organize migration events at client sites
Make sure that targets regarding quality and quantity of conversion are met for accounts under responsibility
Provide feedback to the migration team on clients' use of products, future service needs, internal relationship issues / conflicts and competitive situations
Consolidate customer feedback regarding product enhancements and to pass it on to the Thomson Reuters Markets segment
Keep up to date with developments in the financial markets and Thomson Reuters product offering

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Successful planning and execution of migration for responsible accounts
Monthly performance reports on quantity and quality of migrations completed

RELATIONSHIPS Work closely with the migration team, project managers, training managers and account management. Builds relationships with end-users and technology groups in assigned accounts and advises them how to make the best use of their Thomson Reuters products.



Experience: PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE BA / BS or equivalent work experience in the financial markets, good general knowledge of major financial markets practice and theory, ideally experience with real-time market data products. 1-3 years of experience in a financial markets role would be an advantage. Excel experience is highly desired. Series 7 and 63 licenses would be a good indicator of relevant experience. IT or technology knowledge with complex financial applications. Experience with project management would also be a benefit.

TYPICAL PREVIOUS ROLE Worked in the market place as a Broker, Sales, Trader, an assistant to an Analyst, Portfolio Manager, for a Market data provider. Good candidates might be one with previous experience at Reuters, Thomson / ILX, Bridge, Bloomberg, Quodd, Factset, major investment banks
