Experience: Looking for somone to evaluate tools to create test data sets across mainframe applications -
VSAM files. Must have experience with data masking or data privacy with a tool (not scripting).
They are looking at IBM Optim or Compuware Fileaid RDX. The candidate will help come up with
processes on how to gather test data requirements and how to create criteria for test data sets.
Require the following skills/experience:
- Experience in Test Data Management (TDM) practices and implementation for mainframe shop
- Experience with TDM tools and application discovery tools
- Experience with Computer Associates migration tool (Panvalet)
- Mainframe, VSAM background
- Build/release management experience
- Strong facilitation, problem solving and analytical skills
Ideal qualifications:
- Understanding of Computer Associates migration tools (Panvalet and Endeavor)
- Hogan and/or Shaw experience
- Experience in Test Data Management methodologies, practices and implementation for cross-
platform shop (distributed/mainframe integrations)
- Experience with multiple TDM tools
- Experience establishing data masking policies and implementations

Minimum of 2-4 years college with at least 10 years exp. in project related work/systems
analysis/systems development environment, or equivalent combination. Bachelor's degree
preferred
- Prior management experience preferred

- Experience w/the skills/application(s)/functions of technology area being led
- Proficient in project management/word processing/spreadsheet applications; very good PM skills

- Manage/oversee execution of project plans for any scope; ensure adherence to all standards and
procedures, including documentation requirements. Work to procure resources for assignments.
- Perform/oversee application development and testing efforts; translate requirements to assist staff
in preparing detailed specs for system enhancements. Recommend designs based on business
requirements. Identify issues/concerns.
- Act as client liaison to review priorities/manage overall client queue.
- Maintain efficient operation/effectiveness of supported applications. Recommend new
technology/policies/processes. Lead technical evaluations of vendor software.
- Complete status reports; present projects/status/activities to Sr. management.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the business environment/needs within area of
responsibility. Able to understand various impacts of a project or problem.
