Experience: The Quality Assurance and Test Group is part of Central Technology responsible for system,
regression and end-to-end testing.

The Quality Assurance Team Lead manages and coordinates the facilitation of Testing & Quality
Assurance activities across projects within the Commercial applications supported by Central
Technology. This position champions the benefits of a centralized QA&T Team to key
stakeholders; assists in the development and implementation of testing policies and procedures;
collaborates across multiple, cross- functional teams to execute on milestones and deliverables on
time and within plan; monitors, tracks and reports defects/risks and actively manages through
resolution; monitors and communicates progress of testing across multiple projects; assign,
support and guide QA&T resources; defines and measure effective metrics to view context, trends
and risks in QA&T processes across applications and projects supported; and promotes continuous
improvement in both QA&T and Central Technology by maintaining best practices and knowledge
repositories.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Manages and oversees a staff responsible for the development and creation of system test plans
and test cases, ensuring adherence to the department's standards and procedures, including all
documentation/artifact requirements.
-Oversees all system testing efforts which may include the review of related business requirements
and functional specifications in preparation of system testing execution.
-Identifies and communicates issues and concerns associated with system testing as well as
potential overall project impacts.
-Facilitate/provide estimates after business requirements and fuctional specs phase while
establishing time lines and deliverables.
-Completes status reports and must be able to present projects, status, or activities to senior
management.
-Recognizes, recommends and initiates new policies and procedures which will improve the
performance and effectiveness of the department.
-Proactively stays up-to-date on bank/industry standards, e.g., PMM, SDM, SOX, etc., and
responds both timely and appropriately as changes occur
-Demonstrated leadership capabilities

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/related field or seven to ten years related experience.
-Proven knowledge of both project and test lifecyles.
-Has a demonstrated ability to evaluate situations, articulate ideas and develop alternative
recommendations both orally and in written form.
-Possess excellent communication skills
-Solid PC skils with thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office incl Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
-Working knowledge of Technology Infrastructure and Information Security

Ideal Skills
-Experience with the applications, vendors (Fundtech and AFS) and functions of Commercial
Banking
-Experience with HP Quality Center, Quick Test Pro and/or other test management tools
-Demonstrates a strong understanding of the business environment and needs within the area of
responsibility. Ability to understand technical, business and operational impacts of a project or
problem
-Strong and proven problem solving abilities bringing resolution and applicable alternatives to the
table.

QA Test Team Lead
- Act in a team leader capacity for Domain specific (Mainframe, Web, or Client Server) Test Resources, Services, and Processes.
Manage Quality Assurance testing projects and activities. Oversee the Test Leads and perform the Test Lead role as required. Assist Test Leads in scheduling and obtaining on/offshore resources.
- The QA Test Lead role will perform an integral role in the overall Central Technology Systems Development Life Cycle providing test expertise and standardized test processes. The Test Lead will be assigned to ESP and Major BAU projects to help oversee and/or manage testing components to ensure overall effectiveness and quality applications.
- Ensures test processes are defined and adhered to within Project Management and Systems Development Methodologies.
- Work closely with project IT leads in developing test plans, strategies, resource estimates and scheduling, timelines, and overall responsibility for meeting test related project deliverables.
- Promote collaborative application life cycle development and adherence to Technology and Corporate Standards, Project
Management Methodology (PMM), Systems Development Methodology (SDM), and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
- Evaluate and provide Recommendations for Test Tools and QA Test Process Improvements.
- Develop QA Testing Strategy, Test Program, and Training Programs for assigned application domain.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or in lieu of degree, four to five years relevant computer science / testing experience.
- Minimum seven years experience in distributed and / or mainframe software development life cycle methodologies, application technologies, and test processes.
- Good understanding of System Development Life Cycle.
- Strong understanding of Technology Application Architectures/Languages
- Very good oral and written communication skills, ability to effectively present to target audience
- Ability to effectively work with client personnel in various organizational positions
- Detail orientated, self motivated, good time management and organization skills, takes initiative to learn new skill sets
- Very good project management skills
