Position: Sr Software EngineerLocation: White Plains, NYSalary: DOE The Senior Software Engineer is primarily responsible for C++ application development on CSP product. This role provides technical leadership to other members of the development team, including project and product managers, developers, quality assurance, and management. Responsibilities include: Evaluate product requirements and develop detailed specifications Provide accurate and reliable estimates for assigned project tasks Design, code, test, debug and integrate effective solutions Create test plans & test tools (in collaboration with QA Engineers), support testing & address on-line bug reports/issues Write product support documents and procedures Maintain products with periodic releases, as needed Address client support inquiries Research product issues and recommend solutions Experience and Skills: Ideal candidates will have: 5+ years software engineering experience Strong Core C++ programming on Unix platform (IPC-FIFO's Shared Memory, Semaphores, Signals, Mutex, pthreads, etc) Strong Development and Design/Architecture skills 5 + years of Object Oriented development; unit testing and regression testing; version control practices. Understanding of project management methodologies and engineering best practices Leadership abilities Ability to articulate technical concepts to a broad audience Ability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously Detail and process oriented Excellent communication skills BS in Computer Science
