A well known financial services company based out of New York City is looking for a UI Designer.
Wealth Management has launched a strategic technology program to migrate all web applications to a strategic framework with IBM Websphere Portal server as the Web Platform. You will join an existing team that supports the Wealth Management Web Applications. Your responsibility includes to provide user interface designs for new and existing web based components with the goal of creating the most usable user interface possible. You will work with business analysts and the development team to understand user needs and then create a UI that meets those needs. Position demands proficiency in using graphic imaging and design tools such as Photoshop, Dream Weaver, MS Visio, MS Visual Design Studio etc. Deliverables include wireframes, sketches, detailed user interaction specifications and prototypes
Experience: In depth knowledge of User Interface Design principles, Human Factors, User-Centered Design Processes, Interaction Design guidelines, Usability Testing Methodologies, web-industry standards and trends, platform standards, software development process, and prototyping/design
. Working knowledge of HTML, XHTML and CSS coding.
. Experience in using WSAD or RAD6 or Eclipse IDE.
. Knowledge of Subversion or any other source code control systems
