Skills: - Operating Systems: Microsoft?s Windows 95, 98, ME,
XP, 2000 and NT - Experienced with Object Oriented
Design and Development - Experienced with .NET, C#,
SQL, and Java - Ability to work with limited
supervision on multiple assignments - Ability to
quickly adapt to change - Willingness to program
within the constraints of a legacy system - Ability to
communicates successes and concerns clearly and
quickly - Ability to place the goals of the
organization and team ahead of self-interests - Should
be a problem solver by nature.


Desired/Optional

Experience with Microsoft?s Visual Studio .NET, any
Skills: Java development tool would be a plus. An
understanding of the inner workings of life insurance,
while not mandatory, would be a plus. Strong math
skills would be a plus. Enjoys documenting systems.


Duties/Activities:

Support the FTIS applications through design and
development of architectures, tools, and technologies
supporting mission critical applications related to
international lines of business.
Responsibilities will include all aspects of software
design, development and testing. The applicant must
have a thorough knowledge of the software development
life cycle. Experience in the Object Oriented
software development is a plus. Knowledge in a
specific tool or tool set is not as important as prior
engineering experience combined with the ability to
learn and apply new tools, techniques, and languages.


Deliverables:

Completion of support and release deliverables as
requested by the business community.
