Client Server Development Tool Consultant in Albany, NY

Our client continues to develop new web applications to aid local district workers in providing services to their customers. Some of the applications developed over the past years have recently been deployed upstate and are currently being deployed in NYC; a web based application registration process; and on-line web-based application process and financial eligibility calculator for the an Energy Assistance Program. The HEAP applications will have some additional enhancements during the next year. The contractor filling this position will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and enhancements of the aforementioned production applications and will participate in the design and development of other web based applications developed to support the program area. In addition, this contractor will also be involved in the technical support of a document management system and will participate in upgrading existing web applications onto Windows 2003 platforms. Experience: Mandatory Requirements ? Must have two years experience with 4th generation language development tools. ? Two years of experience in developing large mission critical applications using Client/Server implementation. ? Two years of experience in 3-Tier design, development and deployment including RAD/JAD methodology. ? Two years of experience in knowledge transfer, transition of systems and mentoring. ? Two years of experience in Intra/Inter Net deployment. Desirable Experience ? Two or more years working with Oracle databases. Oracle Certified Professional would be a plus. ? Two or more years experience in analyzing and understanding business processes and workflows - developing systems and program specifications documentation. ? Two or more years experience in the development of WEB applications using Microsoft .Net Web Development (Web Services, Web Forms, .Net classes). ? Two or more years experience with web security protocol using LDAP. ? Two or more years experience in developing COM objects in an MTS environment including installation and migration of components on IIS and App servers including the use and development of component wrappers. ? One or more years experience with using middleware for communications to and from a mainframe environment. BEA Tuxedo or Open TI would be a plus. ? Two or more year's application development experience in a large-scale human services system (human services systems include Labor, Health, Children Services). ? Two or more years experience architecting and developing Web applications using HTML, ASP Java Script, VB Script. ? One or more years experience with PGP (Pretty Good Protection) encryption methods including use of public and private keys including automated encryption scripting and programming.
