Client Server Programmer - Applications - PowerBuilder in Albany, NY

The current system is a production application that has had a phased development and implementation. While several phases of the system have been completed and released, several additional phases must be developed, coded and implemented. This client server programmer position is one of two such positions that are integral to the timely completion of the Safety Assessments and Enforcement modules, along with the maintenance of the code that has been released thus far. This person will have a close working relationship with the other members of the development team, including users, and with other system coders to ensure coding is streamlined and compatible with the system. Experience: Mandatory Requirements ? Associate's Degree ? Two (2) or more years experience performing development work in one or more of the following specialty areas: Windows NT, Client Server, Visual Basic, GUI, C++, PowerBuilder. Desirable Experience Preferred ? Good communication and interpersonal skills ? Five (5) or more years demonstrated full time professional experience using PowerBuilder 8.0 or higher with Oracle and utilizing COM/COM+. ? Five (5) or more years experience using PL/SQL to write stored procedures and triggers for Oracle database(s). ? Five (5) or more years demonstrated experience developing large complex 3+ tier distributed client-server applications with 2 or more years experience designing and implementing Vs.Net solutions utilizing web services and XML.
