I. Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Web Production Coordinator is to produce and occasionally design web pages. Must have thorough knowledge of HTML/DHTML, ASP and JavaScript as well as proficiency with design applications such as Adobe PhotoShop/ImageReady, Illustrator and Flash.
II. Essential Functions:
? Produces effective, industry standard, cross-browser and cross-platform (Macintosh/Personal Computer) hand coded (no WYSIWYG) HTML/DHTML to include in web pages as necessary
? Enters and approves content using a Content Management System
? Creates web pages to facilitate sales and provides information to our Customers via Internet website and other electronic media (online advertising, email, etc.)
III. Interactions:
Supervision Received:
? Receives general instructions on what is to be done, limitations, quality and quantity expected, deadlines, and priority of assignments from Crewleader. Uses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instruction but receives additional specific instructions from Crewleader for new, difficult, or special projects/assignments
Supervisory Duties:
? No supervisory responsibility
IV. Minimum Qualifications:
? High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma required, Bachelor?s Degree preferred but not required
? Minimum of three (3) years web design experience required
? Must have prior experience creating proofs and familiarity with procedural workflow in publishing content to the web
? Must be willing and available to travel occasionally (up to 10% of the time)
? Regular attendance is required
? Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
? Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance
? Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
? Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
? When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
V. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
? Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
? Excellent understanding of HTML and ability to produce pages using text editors, not WYSIWYG tools
? Excellent understanding of JavaScript, the DOM and how it relates to DHTML
? Excellent understanding of cross-browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, Safari) quirks and intricacies
? Excellent understanding of web design concepts (image size and compression issues)
? Experience with ASP or ASP.NET helpful
? Understanding of Content Management Software helpful
? Understanding of web services/XML helpful
? Experience with user interface and system design helpful
? Excellent written, verbal and public speaking skills required
? Must be organized and capable of managing multiple projects
? Ability to work independently and in a team environment
? Able to adapt quickly to a continuously changing creative marketing environment
? Knowledge of airline industry trends and travel technology a plus
? Previous experience in the airline industry helpful
