The Senior Software Developer will be a key player in the design & implementation of a web-based application for Structured Finance business. This role requires a mature, seasoned technologist who works effectively both independently and self-managed, as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Seeking a delivery-focused candidate with solid web application development experience and fundamental securities industry domain knowledge. Qualified candidates will be asked to engage a brief technical skills assessment by phone before coming in for a face to face interview. The phone interview will include technical questions about Java, J2EE, Oracle, XML, web application development, and other core technical skills. Candidates should also be prepared to explain strategies and design decisions leveraging these technologies in current/previous employment experience.
Requirements:
Required Skills: Strong Web application development experience Java, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, JavaScript, et al Good overall knowledge of J2EE and associated APIs Experience with Weblogic and JBuilder Fluency in Oracle PL/SQL, stored procedures Strong Object-Oriented Analysis & Design skills Experience with XML/XSL/XSLT Candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills Must be a strong team player with solid interpersonal skills Must be able to work independently, and be highly motivated Knowledge of design patterns, UML modeling, best practices Bonus: Framework experience - particularly Spring, Struts, JavaServer Faces Business Intelligence software - Business Objects, WEBI etc Messaging-based project with JMS usage Sun certification (SCJP, SCJD, SCEA) Strategies and best practices for building reusable applications Custom Tags, Servlet Filters
