The Senior Systems Engineers play a key role for many large, technically complex, Cisco, Windows 2000 Active Directory and MS Exchange implementations for clients.
Responsibilities include the design, configuration, installation, integration and troubleshooting of Cisco LAN/WANs and wireless networks. In addition, this position involves significant customer interaction and an opportunity to demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
Responsibilities of our SSE positions include but are not limited to:
. Configuring, installing and troubleshooting computer network installations
. Integrating LANs/WANs including network cabling, topologies and protocols
. Performing detailed site surveys including documentation and design of client sites for network implementations
. Hands on configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of Cisco wireless and wired networks that will be integrated into large wide area networks
. Setting up VLANS and defining workgroups
. Managing IP traffic with Access Lists
. Connecting switched networks with different methods of trunking
Experience: Qualified candidates will possess the following skills: . 7+ years experience in LAN/WAN environments with a solid understanding of network infrastructure & protocols . Strong understanding of internetworking concepts & software: IP addressing & subnet masking, cable limitations, documentation of physical network topology, DHCP, CDP, TRACEROUTE & Ping for network discovery, & Cisco IOS. . Expert knowledge of Windows 2000 Server & Professional, 98 & XP . CCIE required (SECURITY PREFERRED but not mandatory)) . CISSP and/or Windows 2000/2003 MCSE certifications a plus .
