The successful applicant will have a wide experience base in hosted services and Internet based solutions. It is expected that the candidate will have at least 8 years experience in Information Technology which may have been acquired in enterprise solutions engineering and service delivery or directly in the hosted services industry. The successful Product Engineer will be expected to engaged in evaluating a variety of competing solutions both on paper and in the lab, as well as assisting in the implementation of a production solution. The Product Engineer will also be responsible for developing implementation and support documentation.
The applicant must be thoroughly knowledgeable in either Unix variants, or Windows, have a strong understanding of server technologies, networking, and information security. Specific application experience with SAP, Oracle, SQL, or Exchange is highly desirable. The ability to identify and specify all of the infrastructure components and interdependencies is critical to success. Understanding how to size a solution for a given application demand is important.
Experience: This position requires an individual who has excellent verbal and written communication skills and has the ability to work independently while integrating smoothly into a larger working team. This is a highly detail oriented position requiring excellent organizational skills and the ability to drill into the fine details of solution requirements
