Basic Function:
On a project basis, participates in the gathering and analysis of information for defining functional requirements, functional designs, development and implementation of the final project.
Responsibilities:
Peforms routine to complex analysis and research in support of business goals and strategies. Implements modifications to solve problems. Assists in day to day support. Assists the client in addressing problems/issues of any scope. Analyzes information, determines feasible solutions and makes recommendations. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations to fulfill business requirements. Converts business requirements into functional specifications and functional designs on any scope assignments. Plays a key role and an individual contributor on projects. Develops or oversees the development of project assessments and plans to include activities to be performed, estimated timeframes and effort. Manage small to medium scope project efforts, direct junior resources and coordinate tasks. Adheres to all current standards and procedures and ensures all efforts are properly documented. Develops or oversees the development of test plans and scripts, performs client testing for routine to complex processes to ensure proper system functioning. Provides consultation services to clients, technicians and Bank departments on basic to intricate functions of supported applications. This may also include the review of system capabilities, operational procedures, forms, marketing materials, or cost analysis. Maintains a thorough understanding of the business being supported and its functions, processes, operations and strategic direction. Maintains a detailed functional understanding of the supported application(s). Participates in planning and implementing new policies and procedures that will improve the performance and effectiveness of the department. Develops a professional level of communication and cooperation. Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of two to four years college with at least six years experience in a technology/systems analysis or operational support environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Requires strong analytical skills and communication skills. Demonstrates a high aptitude for complex problem analysis and resolution. Understands development processes and technical concepts. General knowledge of personal computers and the ability to proficiently use project management, word processing and spreadsheet applications. Familiar with the Bank's business plan and strategic objectives. Possesses a very good understanding of the business unit's role and how they fit into the organization. Detail oriented, self motivated; takes initiative to learn new skills and enhance overall knowledge. Must possess time management skills and organization skills. Very good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to the target audience. Able to work effectively with client personnel in various organizational positions. Quickly grasps new concepts. Asserts ideas, encourages teamwork and acts as a role model when leading or directing others. Able to handle multiple tasks in support of various assignments. Very good project management skills. Able to lead or actively participate in vendor demonstrations, project presentations, design sessions, etc.
