Network Management Support in Newburgh, NY

Provide on-site Network Management support for various commercial customers Responsibilities include (but are not limited to....)

Monitoring and validating network alerts

Identifying, isolating, and resolving simple to complex network issues.

Vendor Management (i.e. engaging 3rd party vendors to resolve network issues (e.g. circuit issues)

Problem documentation and tracking,

Change management and implementation,

Network procedure and documentation maintenance,

Team development.

Alternate work schedule

(12 hour shift -- 7:30pm - 7:30am - Night shift) -- 1 person

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, then Wednesday and Thursday every other week





Technical Skills Needed:

Demonstrated experience with Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, and Cisco Firewalls -- includes logging into devices, viewing current configuration, verifying device/interface status, finding neighbor devices, etc).

Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting and resolving simple to complex network problems.

Working Knowledge of various IP Routing Protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc)

Comprehensive understanding of switched network operations (VLANs, Trucking, etc)

Basic understanding of various WAN technologies (Frame Relay, VPN, ISDN, MPLS)

Comprehensive understanding of various network concepts (HSRP, IP Addressing/Subnetting, NAT, SNMP, ARP)

Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP.

Understanding/Use of Troubleshooting techniques to locate and solve network problems -- (e.g. validating layer 1, layer 2, and/or layer 3 network connectivity)

Basic Understanding of SNA/VTAM operation.

At least 1 year of network experience

Active CCNA certification required (Obtained within the past 2 years)
