BASIC FUNCTION:
As part of M&T's Central Technology Integration Department and Relation Systems team that Provides designs, specifies information systems solutions and highly technical direction in the development of new or existing programs to solve basic to complex problems or enhancements for many of the core areas within M&T Bank.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Programmer/Analyst would be responsible for the Analysis, Design, Estimates, Code and direct project activities for Integrated Deposit and Relationship Systems.
Interacts with systems analysts, operations staff and IT staff in overall systems development.
Maintains a good understanding of the business being supported and its functions, processes, operations and strategic directions
Programming in COBOL and CICS
Performs day-to-day support activities and special projects.
Provide 24 hour on call support of system
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree or above or have at least 1-3 years professional programming experience in a related environment
Cobol programming
CICS programming
Requires a complete understanding of the system development life cycle
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong experience with spreadsheet and word applications
Strong knowledge of Windows and PC software programs
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Hogan
JCL
Database structure experience/knowledge would be a plus.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel
