PC/LAN Support Specialist in New York, NY

Responsible for setup, configuration and troubleshooting of all PC's and related computer peripherals (e.g. printers, scanners, blackberries, etc.).

Installs and maintains local area network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals, and wiring.

Provide inventory, license tracking, and other tracking information as dictated by business requirements.

Provide support and assist end-users in the usage of their computer equipment in our computing environment.

Monitors network and server alerts received through the helpdesk from our various network and server monitoring utilities (e.g. Cisco Works, Solar Winds, Network Appliance SAN monitoring facilities).

Communicates and coordinates network schedule, backups, and downtime to users and to the Network Operations Manager.

Coordinates third-party maintenance for network hardware, software, and telecommunications services to Network Operations Manager.

Prepares and maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts as required.

Provide PC helpdesk Support and escalate calls beyond

Potentially provide technical administrative support for all versions of Windows Operating Systems, Citrix Metaframe, Exchange, Esafe, Norton Anti-Virus, Websense, Veritas Backup Exec, BackBone, and other software areas as required to provide support in our LAN/WAN operations.


Experience - External:
Bachelors Degree with a concentration in Computer Science. Novice skills in Citrix Metaframe Administration, strong Exchange\Outlook, SQL and W2K/XP administration experience.

Schedule: M-F 4PM to 12AM
Experience: Salary: Up to $67,500K
