We are currently looking to staff a Software Test Engineering role where the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the web application testing initiatives from cradle to grave.
This will include performing manual testing functions, as well as utilizing your software development abilities to automate the testing function through the development of individual test automation applications.
Work closely with the Software Engineering teams to design comprehensive test strategies and when applicable test tools, to further automate and enhance the effectiveness of the testing/quality assurance process.

Duties:
. Write and execute comprehensive Test Plans
. Write and execute test scripts
. Write and execute load test scripts
. Assist Development Team with IT related tasks
. Support the IT needs of the team in establishing performance metrics
. Work alongside software Developers to maximize efficiency and quality and eliminate errors.
. Participate in technical evaluations as a member of a project team.
Responsibilities & Experience may include:
. Testing of a large browser based application written in .NET 2.0 C# that utilized SQL 2005 and SQL 2000 Databases and heavily leveraged networking protocols.
. Communicate with management and development throughout high pressure project development sprints to ensure thorough testing of the application.
. Update test documents with new features and detailed application functions to make testing more traceable.
. Load/configure Win 2003 server, Win 2000 server and XP operating systems to create test environments.
. Responsible for loading, configuring, backing up, and restoring SQL databases for test environments.
. Create build release notes and other release documentation to send to partner groups.
Experience: Technical Software Quality Engineer for web based applications written in .net and C#.
