The Senior UI/UX Designer will do user interface design for web-based projects. The applicant must be a usability expert focused on the importance of human-computer interaction theory as it relates to navigation and information architecture. High attention to detail in design in addition to maintaining strict adherence to brand strategy and style guidelines is a must. Can work both independently and/or in a team environment.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
• Create working Html prototypes using current web technologies
• Create UI deliverables including wireframes, flowcharts, screen mock-ups, interface design specs and prototypes

• Ensure that the common look and feel guidelines and standards are followed
• Support walk-throughs and usability testing
Skill Requirements/Core Competencies
Experience: TECHNICAL:
• Strong working knowledge of prototyping techniques
• Strong working knowledge of UI standards for common look and feel guidelines
• Extensive background using graphics software (e.g. Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash MX)
• Current knowledge of basic UI web technologies (e.g. Javascript, CSS, XHTML, Flash)
• Must have strong understanding of web usability
• Must be experienced in application design
INTERPERSONAL:
• Strong organizational and oral/written communication skills
• Ability to give presentations easily, professionally and creatively
• Teamwork: ability to work in a team environment and to meet user needs in a cross-functional and distributed development environment
• Ability to demonstrate customer service skills; providing flexibility in handling both internal and external customer related issues.
• Ability to make decisions and demonstrate problem solving skills; analysis, prioritization and risk taking
Education/Experience
• A Bachelor degree in Graphic Arts, Computer Science or related discipline
• 3 + years of experience in an online/web development environment
• 3 + years of graphic design, UI development and implementation experience using HTML, Flash, Javascript, digital imaging and other related technologies.
• Thorough understanding of the organization’s business, business principles, and business processes
