My client currently has an available opening for a Senior Unix Administrator to join their team on a consulting to hire basis. The Unix Administrator will perform top level administrative and technical support for the Unix and Open Systems Infrastructure. The company has a large Unix environment as well as Microsoft, EMC and Linux technologies. Duties will include top level strategic planning, disaster recovery planning, optimization of current infrastructure and designing future systems. This position entails independent initiation of projects regarding the open systems infrastructure. This position is the point of escalation for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd level administrators.:<br><br><ul>

Experience: <b><u><font color= "#3399CC"> The following specs are required: </font color= "#3399CC"></u></b><br><ul>
<li> Looking for someone with 7-10 years of experience supporting client-server technology<br>
<li> 6+ years of experience with HP-UX boxes<br>
<li> Experience with Sun boxes a definite plus <br>
<li> Must have strong experience administering an open-systems environments<br>
<li> Prefer a certification in EMC technologies and / or Microsoft <br>
<li> Experience maintaining projects on an enterprise level <br>
<li> Strong experience with open systems design, implementation, administration and management <br>
<li> Shell / Perl / Bash scripting a strong plus<br>
<li> Must be able to lead a team and work independently on existing and future project <br>
<li> Must be open to permanent positions as well as consulting positions<br>
