Genesis10 has an opening in New York City for C# developer with Winforms experience.
The successful candidate will have 3-5 years development experience supporting scalable, flexible, straight through processing systems for Equity or other financial derivatives products in support of our risk based margin platform. Exposure to risk concepts including VaR, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, etc is highly desirable.
- Desire to work in a fast paced collaborative environment is a must.
- The candidate will work with internal clients to analyze, design, test, implement and support risk based margin applications.
- Will work closely with internal clients (consultants and non-consultants) to understand needs, define requirements and provide business process automation consulting and solutions around our risk based margin platform.
- Participate in the design, development, release and maintenance of a rules based, state-of-the-art risk based margin system.
- Knowledge of margin and risk concepts is highly desirable.
- Interface, as necessary, with other IT teams in the delivery of solutions.
Experience: Technical Expertise:
- C# and related .Net technologies
- Minimum 3-5 years experience developing flexible, scalable and robust applications preferably supporting the financial services sector.
- Experience in building scalable, distributed applications capable of supporting straight through processing of a large number of transactions.
- A minimum of 3-5 years solid working experience with C#/.NET and/or C++ in a UNIX/Linux environment.
- Experience in one of more of the following: Visual C++, Perl, SQL, HTML, XML/XSL, Visual Basic, Java/J2EE.
- Knowledge of derivatives products including Equity Swaps, CFDs, futures, options, Interest Rate Swaps, repurchase agreements, stock loan, Credit Default Swaps and convertible bonds is highly desirable.
- Proactively managing issues and risks and independently drive projects forward
- Good collaboration and influence skills.
