The primary role of this individual is to help drive decisions around the successful development and implementation of a cohesive technology strategy in support of the firms GWM Desktop Strategy. The candidate will be required to:. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with application development, Shared Services and Business Line teams across the GWM Sector, acting as liaison in providing support and guidance for relevant IT change initiatives. Identify and communicate business and technical issues with respect to the initiative. Analyze business and technical issues, drive teams (through influence) to resolve the issues make decisions leading to the successful delivery of the desktop. Document and communicate issues, decisions and various technical aspects of the initiative and be able to verbally communicate these items to cross-functional teams and senior management. Act in the role of "engagement manager" insuring that all technology areas are represented and that solutions are aligned with overall goals if initiative and with other Sector-wide strategic initiatives Work authorizations:1. US Citizens2. Green Card Holders
Experience: JOB REQUIREMENTS:. 5-10 plus years of professional experience. Ability to analyze problems, define plan to reach a solution and execute against that plan.. Knowledge of applicable business areas - Financial Services; Wealth Management a plus. Understanding of IT value and benefit of various approaches in delivering technology solutions to support the business.. Understanding of underlying technology components. Specific experience with open systems and mainframes, Java, Linux, data management and strategies a plus. Experience working with Software Development Lifecycle. Experience doing Business Analysis. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team to accomplish objectives under pressure.. Highly self-motivated with ability to exercise independent judgment and take action appropriate for the situation. . Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization. Strong influencing and negotiation skills.. Able to approach problems as challenges and deal with them constructively and promoting this approach to other team members at the same time.
