he Project Director will possess solid PM skills, past experience leading multiple successful projects and teams of at least 4-6 people. Preferably the candidate has deep warehouse distribution experience. - Builds trust & confidence at an executive / mgmt level in ability to deliver - Good & fair arbiter when project situations arise - can see all sides & represent all best interests to find a solution Required Consulting Skills - Knowledge and/or experience in the following: SAP implementations Warehouse Management (WM), Materials Management (MM). - Industry experience in wholesale distribution - Solid consulting skills with the ability to analyze clients' business requirements, needs and objectives, and map them to best practices as embodied in SAP to implement Wholesale Distribution. - Cross Functional SAP skills in WMS, MM, SD andmgm FI/CO - Ability to translate the business requirements into specific process improvements along with identifying any/all measurable benefits. - Business process analysis and redesign experience. - Strong analytical capabilities. - Gap analysis and strategic roadmap/blueprint development. - Ability to analyze business problems from both a qualitative and quantitative perspective. - Prior project management experience Team Management Characteristics "Must-Have" - Leads more than manages - people WANT to work for them - Gives credit to his/her team before taking it him/herself - Leads by example in all professional characteristics - Able to retain the top performers - Solid performance mgmt - Team of people that will follow them - Active network of contacts for recruiting, referral, etc. Required Professional Skills The successful candidate must possess and be able to demonstrate through client references the following: - Some degree of project management experience. PMI/PMP certification a plus. - Terrific "soft skills" leveraged across clients' technical, project and business personnel. - Minimum of 5-6 years of professional experience (previous consulting, software application/ system implementation and/or specific functional industry expertise). - Ability to travel 85-100% (although we generally request working four [4] 10-hour days with our clients). - Energy, enthusiasm and positive-spirit - confident without arrogance. - Entrepreneurial spirit - will do what it takes to get the job done. - Exceptional follow-up; never let a commitment slip through the cracks. - Demonstrated high level of commitment to client success. - Desire to share technical expertise with team members and the client. Preferred Educational Background - Bachelor's degree in a technical or business area.
