Software and Systems Integration Engineer, Enterprise Software/Physical Security/Video Surveillance Products

Our client, a leading developer and marketer of Security Video management software and solutions, is seeking a Software and Systems Integration Engineer to support its clients in the Northeast Corridor territory, based out of Northern Virginia. This position will also entail occasional travel to locations in North America.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES 25-50% TRAVEL.

The individual will be responsible for executing design, integration, configuration, installation, testing, and training for customers in North America. He/she will be focused on helping clients optimize their investment in physical security and video surveillance solutions. Responsibilities will include translating customer requirements into functional implementation, through written technical specifications and frequent communications with R&D, Engineering and Product Management groups, as well as actual configuration and implementation at client site, helping defining specifications to product line to meet customer needs and conducting testing and user acceptance.

Technical expertise should include functional understanding of:
Applications software, various operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux), IP Networking and Security Video (CCTV, DVR, Cameras, Networking, etc.), as well as products features and capabilities and how they relate to addressing specific needs of our clients. This includes working with internal software developers and engineers to insure that client requirements are properly translated into system functionality. The individual may time-to-time, assist sales and marketing opportunities

Responsible for Project Reviews, including: Technical analysis of customer requirements. Technical discussions with customers to ensure properly defined deliverables.

Education, Experience & Skills requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience in customer-facing role with a software company, technology vendor or integrator, preferably customer support, Sales Engineering, Project Management, Implementation, Product Management.

- Experience in Physical Security or Video Surveillance business preferred.

- Overall must have experience in applications software, operating systems, networks, servers and databases.

- Must have very strong networking and software applications knowledge and Microsoft Network knowledge.

- Hands-on systems integration and troubleshooting skills.

- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Excellent presentation and client interaction skills.

- Programmer capabilities Advantage.

- Strong organizational and problem solving skills

- Ability to ramp up quickly and assimilate technical and functional knowledge of our product solutions for effective interactions with clients.

- Demonstrated ability to deliver profitable projects, on time & on budget with superior customer satisfaction.

- Highly self-motivated employee with the ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up and challenging environment, as well as highly organized and team-oriented.

- Superior people skills.

- Strong presentation and demo capabilities a plus.

- Approximately 25-50% travel required, domestic and occasional international.
