Robert Half Technology is currently looking for a highly motivated and intelligent Database Administrator for a temporary one month position with possibility of extension. This unique position combines the attributes of a database administrator, programmer and analyst and provides a crucial role for our organization. We want someone who enjoys their work and works hard to excel.
Primary responsibilities:
* Responsible for coordinating support on Oracle 8i and possibly some SQL 2000-2005.
* Responsible for enforcing database policies and procedures regarding backup, disaster recovery, version updates, security monitoring and all other related policies.
Other responsibilities:
* Work with development teams to design database structures
* Assist in a company wide Business Intelligence project
* Assist with database warehousing over version changes and conversion formats
* Assist in the development and maintenance of an enterprise data strategy
* Assist with all data report writing, and the writing of policies and procedures as they pertain to database reporting for all departments.
* Instruct, train and advise end-users on the execution and simple modification of these reports.
* Recommend data design/application for those functions not correctly tracked.
* Manipulation of data in Excel using advanced functions, macros and pivot tables.
* Run routine and ad hoc reports in Crystal Reports, Actuate, MS Access or MS Query for all database platforms.
* Liaison to other departments to determine their data reporting requirements and/or data tracking needs.
