We have an immediate need for a Sr. Project Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Systems Integration Project Manager with experience implementing large scale system integration projects in complex business environments with challenging clients and multiple subcontractors. The SI Project Manager will manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of the project to ensure the successful implementation of COTS software products, development of an Operational Data Store (ODS) and integration with legacy systems
- The SI Project Managers role is to develop integrated work plans, work schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets and status reports to effectively manage large-scale system integration and business transformation projects
- Must have a thorough understanding of the risks and issues involved in delivering highly complex, integrated business transformation solutions and the ability to articulate and execute on mitigation strategies
- Proven scope management skills, problem-solving skills and a thorough knowledge of project management best practices are critical to successful performance in this role
- Manage the work activities of multiple work teams including internal staff, client personnel, subcontract staff and vendor resources
- Implement deliverable review and quality assurance procedures to ensure profitable and successful delivery of the project and high customer satisfaction
- Assume overall responsibility for the project management of the implementation
- Deliver the project within the expected timelines, budget, DSO and profitability parameters
- Ensure reference ability of the client and high customer satisfaction scores throughout the duration of the project
- Mentor project team members on large scale system integration best practices
Education/Experience
- Bachelors degree (masters degree preferred) from an accredited college or university in technology related field and ten years managing large scale system integration projects through the entire Software Development Life Cycle from concept to post implementation support
- Solid understanding of Service Oriented Architecture concepts, component-based solutions, ODS design and deployment, document management, Business Process Re-engineering, Organizational Change Management, system integration best practices and guidelines
- Exceptional Project Management skills, including PMP certification or equivalent
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, facilitation and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and build consensus in challenging project environments
- Demonstrated experience utilizing standard project implementation methodologies
- Expertise with MS Project or other Project Management Tools
